qixMedia is a Complete Home Entertainment System. With a professional and clear interface design, it can transform an ordinary PC into a complete Home Entertainment System. qixMedia is made up of several seperate components, contributing to the final product. It consists of a Music Player, a DVD Player, a Movie Player, a Photo Viewer and Games to play on your TV, that can be controlled by either a keyboard, a mouse, or a remote control.

Quick Setup - Setting it up qixMedia can be done easily in a couple of minutes, but can be extended and configured to meet your every need. Your media files can be placed anywhere on a home network and be linked into qixMedia.

Advanced Media System - Your media (movies / music / photos), can be stored anywhere on your home network, even in multiple places. qixMedia does not limit you to having all your media contained in a single folder, and allows you to link to the computers in your home network, to search for media.

Music Player - The qixMedia music player is capable of playing most audio formats and showing advanced visualizations with the ability to use 3D Graphics Cards for the more advanced effects. Music can be loaded and added to a playlist through a filesystem library, or preloaded into a music library, allowing it to be categorized by the Artist or Album Name. The Music Player also contains a "CD Ripper" to convert any audio-cd into digital audio files, that can be played without the cd in the drive.

Movie Player - The Movie Player can play any movies for which the system has the available DirectShow decoders (Codecs) such as DivX. Complete with Zoom, Jump to Time and the normal movie controls (Play,Pause,Fast-Forward,Rewind), the qixMedia player acts as a complete Movie Player for any needs.

DVD Player - qixMedia comes complete with a fully functional DVD player, with all the standard DVD functions. *Requires a DVD-Rom drive.

Photo Viewer - The qixMedia photo viewer is a fully featured Photo Browser and Viewer. You can browse all your photo's on any computers on your local network with image thumbnails. View single images or a slideshows, with Zoom functionality. All thumbnails loaded are saved to disk, as the second time you view the same photo, the thumbnails do not need to be created, and load immediatly.

Games - qixMedia comes with a brick falling game, named qixBlock. More games will be available soon as plugins through the downloads page.

Organising Media - qixMedia comes complete with a utility to add/remove media from the system, however this is not always the easiest way to do it in all situtations. You can add media to the system, by simply adding the media files into a media directory, or using windows links, to link to the desired media.

Running on TV Systems - qixMedia is designed with large fonts that are visible on even very low quality TV sets. It is also capable of displaying at any resolution, which allows it to take full advantage of Widescreen TV systems.

Advanced Plugin System - Our advanced plugin system, allows plugins to be created for qixMedia, that can allow a wide array of addons. Plugin download information can be found on our downloads page.
