The Talking Headline News Alarm Clock (THAC) is an intelligent productivity aid for MS/Windows that will wake you up by actually speaking the current news headlines and local weather with your computer's voice. By monitoring your local weather, THAC will wake you up earlier if the weather is bad. As a bonus, THAC will even turn on your room lights or start a radio (through an optional X10 interface).
