WordBanker is a unique and fun method of helping you to learn a foreign language. Rather than bog you down with complicated grammar it deals only with building a vocabulary. Trouble memorising new words or phrases ? WordBanker's "Visual Clue" method of testing means you learn without even realising it. Can be used by Spanish people learning French or French people learning Spanish.

WordBanker tests you in sessions of 20 words a session. Once you have been tested on those 20 words you will automatically be taken to round 2 where you are tested only on the words you got wrong. Once all words have been translated correctly the session ends.

Translate a word correctly three times in the first round and you will be given the option to bank that word. Once a word has been banked you will not be tested on it again. This way you only get tested on the words you don't know.

Everyone has their own way of learning so WordBanker is easily customised so you can change testing and practice methods to suit yourself.

WordBanker Main Features:

Approximately 1500 words or phrases in standard categories.

• Each language has approximately 1500 words or phrases included with each WordBanker installation. These include only the kinds of words you are likely to use in every day conversation. Categories include verbs, food and eating out, first phrases, numbers, time etc

All words can be edited.

• One of the frustrations of learning a language is that you can be sure when you learn a word, someone will use a different word for the same thing. With WordBanker you can easily change words to allow for local dialects.

Option to cover the multiple choices to remove the "visual clue".

• As you get more confident you may like to cover the multple choices and try and translate the word before shown the list of choices. The cover can be lifted after you press a button or after a set amount of time.

Audio samples of all standard categories.

• All words in standard categories come with an audio sample spoken by a native speaker.

A fully customisable "Practice Mode".

• In practice mode you can select the number of words you want to practice , the gap between each word, whether to play continuously and many other variations. Just leave the practice running whilst you are doing something else and learn without even realising it.

Join your unbanked words to create single practice MP3's

• Ideal for using with your portable mp3 player or burning onto MP3 CD's so you can practice on your way to work.

Record yourself and compare your pronuctiation with a native speaker

Print lists of your unbanked words

• Create lists of your unbanked words and leave them around the house.

Create up to 3 categories of your own, easily adding, editing and recording your own words.

• The words including with your installation of WordBanker are those most used in everyday language but you might be in a situation that uses less common words. For example, if you are a nurse you might need to learn words common to nursing. With WordBanker you can create up to 3 custom categories and enter your own words to be tested on.

Send difficult words to a "Hotlist".

• Some words can be very stubborn to remember. During a test you can send words to a Hotlist and then at a later date test yourself only on those words.

Single or multiple users with "User Management" .

• Ideal for parents or teachers who want to control and monitor their children/students.

A summary and "Banked Meter" to monitor progress.

3 different methods of testing.

• Multiple Choice - Select the correct translation to the word shown from a grid of buttons.
• Hear Word - Listen to the word and select the correct translation from a grid of buttons.
• Type The Answer - Type the correct translation to the word shown.

A "Type the Answer" testing method to improve your written language skills.

• Even fluent speakers of a language often have great difficulty in writing it. By choosing this (the hardest) testing method you can improve your written skills.

Banking words enables you to test yourself only on the words you don't now.

• Don't waste time testing yourself on words you already know

A dictionary containing an up to date collection of all standard and custom words in your collection.

Can be adapted to test yourself on other subjects.

• There is nothing to stop you adapting one of the custom categories to help you pass other types of exams. For example you may have a history exam coming up. Just use one of the custom category to add questions.
